Hi everyone I’m planning a trip to Peru and would love to experience Takanakuy to see some of the fights as I think it’s a very unique tradition.I believe it happens on the 25th of December. I will be traveling from Arequipa I have a few questions: - What’s the best way to get to the town where Takanakuy takes place? - Can I travel there from Arequipa? - How many days should I allow for the trip? - Is it possible to attend independently, or would you recommend going with a local guide? - Is it welcoming and safe for foreign visitors?
