Hola! I will be traveling to Peru next week (Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and Arequipa). 3 of the hotels I booked are just small boutique hotels, and already informed me that they charge an extra 5% for credit card charges. If I pay in cash, should I pay in USD (quoted amount from the booking website), or should I ask them how much is it in Sole and pay in local currency? Or should I just take the 5% extra charge and pay with my credit card (my card has zero forex transaction fee), not just for the hotels, but for every establishment I go to that takes credit cards? Thanks.
