I'm looking into traveling to peru with my mom's ashes. I've traveled to peru twice by myself and it's like home to me. I want to experience traveling there with my mom and simply have her travel with me but she passed away 3 years ago. I've never traveled with her ashes before in fear of her being thrown away by security or customs. Me and my mom are both U.S citizens, i don't plan on burying her or scattering her ashes in peru, I just want the comfort of having her with me by bringing a keepsake amount with me. I know i need to bring her in a certain type of container to get her through the airport but unsure of the documents or process of flying with ashes. I would appreciate anyone who can share their experience or knowledge.
