Hello, I have been trying to research this and figure things out but I'm still a bit unsure on how to do certain things. Just want to make sure I get everything right before our marriage in November. Context: I livein Nebraska (born in Maryland, I believe this matters for birth certificate apostille) and my Peruvian consulate would be in Denver. I have been referencing this old reddit thread: link and limaeasy link To check my understanding I need to do the following: Get birth certificate. I have already ordered it from VitalCheck in Maryland and then I will need to send it back to Maryland to have it apostilled and notarized because that's the state of origin? Do I get this translated before all of that? Single Certificate apostilled and notarized. I was looking on link and I was going to grab the certificate there. After printing it off, I would mail it to the Peruvian embassy in Denver for them to translate, apostille and notarize Passport Notarize and apostille. I believe I can do this with the secretary of state in Nebraska? I appreciate any help! It sounds like a lot getting everything apostilled and notarized. Is it more simple than it seems? Thank you!
