Need Advices on Moving in Lima (maybe) Hello f(25) here! I'm thinking of applying to a project that my country organised, which offers to live and work for 1 year in Lima as support to a local organisation that helps kids in poorer conditions. The organisation will provide everything I need to get well supported from the apartment, to getting stable in the place. The apartment will be in Barranco and the job will be in Villa Maria del triunfo or puente piedra during the day only. I would like to have an insight into the pros and cons of living as a young female in Lima, to understand if I should give it a shot, or maybe consider other options/places. How did you find the people? Food? Art? Activities? I'm also a bit concern of safety, violent crimes, pointed guns, and robbery situations. How is it? I lived in Manila (Philippines) for 5 months and found it amazingly good, and pretty safe, but not sure how is compared, and would love some background from people that actually experienced daily Lima. Thanks!
